About

My mission at work is to connect people, culture and technology to create engaging and intuitive employee experiences.

My Roots

I’ve had a winding and diverse career: organizational culture, talent management, global HRIS and service delivery head, global SaaS implementation leader, start up owner, training team manager, Six-Sigma workshop leader, technical writer and more in a variety of industries like IT, automotive, construction, casino gaming technology, and government partner a handful other others.

The key themes throughout: connecting people to technology in a meaningful way, inspiring vibrant company cultures, enabling meaningful career growth, communicating, listening and advocating to build relationships.

I know a little bit about a lot of different technologies (software and infrastructure). I find the logic of good programming inherently satisfying. I can still get lost in writing complex tech docs.

I’m also one of those “IT nerds” who really likes people – leading teams, developing people, supporting end users as they bravely use a new tool or technology. I love being up front teaching a training class or convincing leadership to approve a new technology initiative.

I deeply appreciate looking at business data through the lens of people. I have great respect for all those HRBPs and Service Delivery/Help Desk teams out there who have the most unique day-to-day interactions with employees.

Leading at Work

I’m direct, high-energy and lead with a focus on process optimization, using data to reduce bias, and proactively communicating for transparency. I’m definitely weird – I thrive in those seemingly impossible and complex situations – tight timelines, challenging stakeholders, less than ideal systems, high expectations. I like challenges. I deliver results.

How?

Relationships. I’m partnership focused and put a heavy emphasis on collaboration and compromise. We don’t work in a zero-sum game world. At the end of the day, it’s about being collaborative and compromising so the entire organization is successful.

Experience. I’m strategically operational. I have the vision to define where we’re going tempered with actual, real-world experience on how to get there, specifically when it comes to technology. Since I like building new things (teams, programs, organizations), this skill combination is essential.

Awareness, specifically, cultural awareness. Leading global teams and programs requires you flex your style, adapt to cultural norms, expectations, time management, and communications styles. I appreciate and respect how global cultures and closer-to-home locales impact the way we do business, everyday.

Teamwork. I love to build, change, grow, optimize, and lead teams. I’m passionate about empowering my people to be their best – both at work and beyond.

Authenticity. Bringing my whole self to work is important. I think fast, work fast, and thrive in environments with a high degree of autonomy. I value inclusive cultures that allow people to shine in their own ways (weirdness and all!).
