Welcome to the New Look of the Williamson County Library Foundation

2020 has provided a wealth of time to focus on things that are important. The past few years I’ve been traveling and working globally – a lot. I was missing the connection to my local community. In 2018 through a random donation and a quick conversation with a colleague (the former Foundation president), I was invited to serve on the Board for the Williamson County Library Foundation. It was exactly the type of community connection I was looking for (and I’m not one who can resist anything book related!).

Once other members learned about my technology background, I was inundated with ideas and opportunity to strengthen the Foundation’s technology tools. We did some exploratory planning in 2019. Then 2020 provided the time to focus on building out key elements of the foundation and strategy.

Thus – I’m SUPER excited to share our new look, both a brand-new website and a refreshed logo. This was a great fact-finding mission for me and the current president, pulling together many years of history, publications and pictures to tell the Foundation’s story.

I want to give a huge shout out to our two amazingly talented consultants at Sheridan PR in Franklin, TN for helping us think through the objectives, delivering a beautiful, easy-to-use template and the basics for the initial content.

Check it out to learn more about the Foundation and the programs we support for the Williamson County Public Library system. If you want to get involved, we are always looking for volunteers and future Board members.

Don’t Forget: If you have kiddos, it’s not too late to get them involved in the 2020 Summer Reading program at your local Williamson County library. It’s all digital this year with excellent and innovative tools to keep everyone engaged from the comfort and safety of our own homes.
